Plasma applications are, even if they remain mostly hidden to us, crucial in the production of many every-day gadgets - and the range of applications is steadily growing. In order to further promote research in the field of plasma science and to bring it to the highest European level, the European Commission supports the Leibniz Institute for Plasma Science and Technology (INP Greifswald) with 2.64 Mio EUR over three years. The funding aims at a sustainable growth of the institute on a European level, which also will be of advantage for the region and its economic development.

PlasmaShape combines a set of measures by a strong interaction with secondments of experienced scientists of leadership level, recruitment of plasma physics specialists, investments in modern equipment, promotion and exploitation activities and measures for a sustainable protection of innovation potential.
